Denver Broncos Currently Most Expensive NFL Secondary Market Ticket

The 2015 NFL season might still be weeks away, but that doesn’t mean fans aren’t already looking forward to another season of football. Each new season brings renewed optimism for the 32 teams (ok, most of the 32 teams, sorry Oakland and Jacksonville), as right now all teams have the same record.

While football is the biggest sport in the country, it’s safe to say that certain teams enjoy more support from their local markets than others. There are many ways sports analysts try to gauge fan support, one of which is how much fans are willing to spend to take in a game. With that in mind, TicketNetwork has taken a look at sales of NFL tickets to see which teams are commanding the highest average ticket prices on the secondary ticket market so far this year.

Bolstered by visits from two of the most passionate fan bases in the country, the Denver Broncos are currently seeing the highest average ticket price of any NFL team with an average of $351 for a single Denver Broncos game ticket. The visit from Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers on week 8 is the most in-demand ticket, with an average price of $469 for one ticket and the “get in” price, the cheapest available, being $346. Not surprisingly, the visit from Tom Brady and the Patriots, which should mark the seventeenth meeting between Payton Manning and Tom Brady, is the second most in-demand, with an average price of $433 and a get in price of $218. For Bronco fans looking for a more economical option, currently the cheapest home ticket of the season is against the Cincinnati Bengals with a $146 average and a “get in” price of $87.

Right behind the Broncos, the defending Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots once again have their fans excited. New England Patriots tickets are currently the second-most in-demand NFL ticket with an average of $318 on TicketNetwork.com. Those prices are being driven by games against the Steelers ($436 average, $250 get in) and Eagles ($322 average, $161 get in). The cheapest game on the Patriots schedule is the game against the Bills, $146 average and $140 to get in.

On the other end of the spectrum, the Oakland Raiders are currently the cheapest NFL ticket, with an average price of $92, $5 less than the Jacksonville Jaguars. The game against the Green Bay Packers is the hottest home game on the Raiders’ schedule, currently averaging $133 with a $72 get in price. The matchup against the Broncos, the second most expensive, is averaging $106 with a $45 get in price. The cheapest game on the Raiders schedule is averaging $51 against the New York Jets.
