I Know its Only Rock N Roll But I Like It! Week 4 NFL Recap!

Detroit 34 Dallas 30 – Born to be wild by Steppenwolf

One week a hero, one week a goat! Tony Romo is like a box of chocolate you never know what your going to get.

First half Tony Romo led the Cowboys to an early lead behind his arm throwing 3 TD’s (2 to Dez Bryant) and it appeared Tony Romo was rolling after his heroic showing last week.

The bad news for the Cowboys, second half Tony Romo had yet to step on the field.

Second Half Tony Romo helped the Lions more then the Cowboys. Romo threw 3 INT’s of which 2 were pick 6’s.

Of course you can’t solely blame Romo as 3 defenders weren’t enough to stop Calvin Johnson. Calvin Johnson showed the true meaning of the word BEAST this weekend as he took over the game when the Lions needed him most.

This epic meltdown from Tony Romo should get him a lot heat this week from the media.

San Francisco 24 Philadelphia 23 – Bridge over Trouble Waters by Simon and Garfunkle

Trouble in paradise, Philly’s dream team has been very disappointing.

When Andy Reid assembled his team this off-season, he individually hand picked the guys he wanted to try and get a super bowl in Philly.

It’s week 4 now and it’s been a massive failure. Philly has got off to a 1-3 start and hasn’t looked impressive doing so.

Philly’s weakness at the linebacker position has once again plagued them as Frank Gore ran all over them helping the 49ers come back and take out the Eagles.

The Eagles are in trouble and need a serious reboot.

New York Giants 31 Arizona 27 – Fortunate Son by CCR

No better word then fortunate to describe the Giants win over the Cardinals this week. While you could put the flukiness aside if you’re a Giants fan and say we are 3-1 and on top of the division, you me and your brother know that the Giants got away with murder against the Cardinals.

In what was the most controversial play of the weekend, Giants WR Victor Cruz was given the benefit of the doubt by the referees that he was going down intentionally and therefore did not fumble the ball.

For those of you who didn’t see the game, bottom line the Cardinals got a little screwed by the refs.

New York isn’t playing ideal right now but they are plenty banged up and I’m sure they will take a 3-1 record as they get healthier. It also helps that Dallas is 2-2 and Philly is 1-2

Cincinnati 23 Buffalo 20 – You Really Got Me by the Kinks

http://youtube.com/watch?v=dk3Ei_yoI4c

The Bills fooled us all! After taking down the juggernaut New England Patriots last week, the Bills came back down to earth losing their first game of the season to the Cincinnati Bengal’s.

After the Bill’s 2-0 start people questioned if this team was for real but then they beat the Pats and everyone shut up.

However Ryan Fitzpatrick and the Bills clearly had some sort of hang over as they let the Bengal’s stay in the game and were never able to put them away which landed up biting them in the ass.

Rookies Andy Dalton and AJ Green seem to have found something in Cincy and showed a little swagger while upsetting the Bills.

Houston 17 Pittsburgh 10 – What’s going On By Marvin Gaye

Fantasy: You can’t run on the Pittsburgh Steelers

Reality: The Pittsburgh defense ain’t what it use to be

What’s going on with the Steelers D! For recent years, there have been few certainties in the NFL however the fact that the Steelers would have one of the best defence’s in the league was something that you could always count on.

The Steelers D which isn’t 100% healthy (no excuses however) has now let 2 rushers pass the 100 yard mark against them.

On the other side, Adrian Foster is back and ready to roll! Fantasy football owners can take a big sigh of relief because Foster returned to 2010 form in one game and against what use to be considered the leagues top run D.

The Houston Texans who probably lost lots of its fan from the bandwagons after last weeks loss to the Saints probably gained them all back after a pretty dominant effort against the Steelers.
