TGS weekly MVP tracker: Carson Palmer makes his move

With six weeks remaining in the 2015 NFL regular season, here’s how we view the MVP race…

1. Tom Brady, Patriots: The New England quarterback has come back to earth a little in the last three weeks and is coming off his worst game of the year. He’s no longer the league’s highest-rated passer but he still has a 25-to-4 touchdown-to-interception ratio and is leading a 10-0 team.

2. Carson Palmer, Cardinals: If not for those nine interceptions and those two losses, Palmer would be leading this list. He’s the league’s highest-rated passer and he appears to be getting better as the season wears on.

3. Aaron Rodgers, Packers: Big statement with a stellar game in a decisive road victory over one of the hottest teams in the league (and Green Bay’s biggest challenger). Rodgers is still the league’s fourth highest-rated passer and has thrown just three interceptions in 10 games.

4. Cam Newton, Panthers: Sixteen qualified quarterbacks have higher passer ratings, but it goes far beyond the numbers when it comes to Newton. He so often carries this team, especially in clutch situations, and they wouldn’t be close to 10-0 without him.

5. Adrian Peterson, Vikings:  The NFL’s rushing leader is a huge reason why Minnesota is a heavyweight. But he wasn’t able to break anything open against Green Bay, which hurts.

6. Andy Dalton, Bengals: Back-to-back disappointing performances in prime-time losses has Dalton falling out of the race at Thanksgiving.
