Big Game in the Andrew Luck Sweepstakes

It’s not February yet but one of the biggest games of the NFL season will be played this Sunday! I can guarantee millions of people around the world will NOT be watching, however for 2 teams this Sunday might be the biggest game on the biggest stage of the NFL season. I doubt the Black Eye Pea’s will be doing the half time show and I can promise you the Lombardi trophy will not be handed out at the end of the game.

That being said the loser of the Kansas City Chiefs vs. the Indianapolis Colts might get the next best thing: Andrew Luck.

Take 1 of the Andrew Luck tournament will be this Sunday as the 1-3 Chiefs face-off against the 0-4 Colts. Round 2 of the Luck tournament will be played in Week 9 when the Chiefs play the Dolphins.

The current ranking of the Andrew Luck Sweepstakes:

1) Miami Dolphins (0-4)
Many people had the Dolphins as a mediocre team destined for a 7-9 or 8-8 record but Tony Sparano and Mike and Mike (who predicted the Dolphins would go 3-13) knew better.  With a laundry list of bad moves this off-season owner Steve Ross has set up the Dolphins perfectly to land Andrew Luck. A season ending injury to Chad Henne certainly does help their case.

A competitive advantage Miami has to the rest in the sweepstakes is that QB Matt Moore has experience leading his team to the #1 pick overall as he did it last year in Carolina.

2) Kansas City Chiefs (1-3)
They lost their best player in Jamal Charles this year and have been a complete mess however their early W this season against the Vikings will not help their cause.

3) Indianapolis Colts ( 0-4)
I think that the Colts play to hard to finish last. The Colt players still have heart in them which is not a quality you want to have when you’re chasing Andrew Luck.

4) Minnesota Vikings (0-4)With McNabb in at QB the Vikings are certainly Luck contenders however I assume they will likely switch gears to Ponder soon which could hurt their chances

5) Seattle Seahawks ( 1-3)
T – Jax will always keep you in the hunt!

It’s going to be a long year for these teams but I can assure you the prize is worth the wait. Andrew Luck will most likely be the highest graded QB ever to come out of college. Players like Luck only role around once every 10 years. Luck would have been the 1st pick last year and is a lock to be the 1st pick this year assuming he comes out as most assume he will.
