It’s finally (almost) here. With the Los Angeles Rams on the clock with the No. 1 pick in Chicago tomorrow night, here’s our final mock draft.
17. Atlanta Falcons: Ohio State LB Darron Lee — Even after free agency, the Falcons need linebackers in a major way. Lee has the athletic ability to become a Pro Bowler.
18. Indianapolis Colts: Ohio State OT Taylor Decker — If you’re not going to add an elite front-seven defender, you have to think about adding support for poor Andrew Luck, who has taken too many beatings early in his career. Good value here for Decker.
19. Buffalo Bills: Georgia LB Leonard Floyd — The best player available works for a team that could use a lot of help at linebacker.
20. New York Jets: Alabama DT A’Shawn Robinson — I have a gut feeling they’ll do this and trade Muhammad Wilkerson.
21. Washington Redskins: Alabama C Ryan Kelly — They’ve invested deeply everywhere else, so with Robinson gone they go with an potential future stud with a quickly-rising stock.
22. Houston Texans: Baylor WR Corey Coleman — With that investment in Brock Osweiler, they’ll have to give the young quarterback as much support as possible. It’s either him or Will Fuller, as Laquon Treadwell keeps sliding.
23. Minnesota Vikings: Ole Miss WR Laquon Treadwell — I don’t think the Vikings can pass up that kind of talent.
24. Cincinnati Bengals: TCU WR Josh Doctson — There are plenty of receiver options here. I’m giving them the scrappy Doctson over Sterling Shepard and Will Fuller.
25. Pittsburgh Steelers: Alabama DT Jarran Reed — With Robinson off the board, Reed makes a lot of sense as a nose tackle who could start from the get-go. But it’s possible he doesn’t get past Washington at 21.
26. Seattle Seahawks: Houston CB William Jackson III — Seattle is all about the best player available, and we all know they love building that secondary.
27. Green Bay Packers: Baylor DT Andrew Billings — And just like that, B.J. Raji is replaced.
28. Kansas City Chiefs: Kansas State G Cody Whitehair — Kansas City doesn’t have a lot of holes but could use the upgrade inside. Whitehair should become a steady starter for years to come.
29. Arizona Cardinals: Michigan State QB Connor Cook — Carson Palmer will turn 37 this season and Drew Stanton and Matt Barkley aren’t the answer.
30. Carolina Panthers: Indiana OT Jason Spriggs — Dude’s super athletic and could compete for a starting job right away. I think he’s better than the second-round grade most are giving him.
31. Denver Broncos: Ole Miss DT Robert Nkemdiche — Red flags everywhere, but I think the Broncos have the luxury of being able to take a chance here.
