Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cincinnati Bengals: Three fantasy football sleepers

The second week of the 2016 NFL season is set to continue and there are quite a few big games on the schedule. One of those big games is an AFC North division rivalry between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Steelers.

As the second week of the season continues, fantasy football owners are freaking out about who to put in their lineups. Looking at this game in particular, there are a few different players that are must plays.

It will be interesting to see how these two teams match up this week. Both teams have the potential to be a playoff team and there is a good chance that they will both end up making it. That being said, the AFC North division title is a big deal and both of these teams would like to have bragging rights.

Which three players are the biggest sleepers for fantasy football owners in this game and what can those owners expect from them?

Brandon LaFell, Wide Receiver, Cincinnati Bengals

One wide receiver to consider plugging into your lineup is Bengals’ wideout Brandon LaFell. Last week, Andy Dalton found him four times for 91 yards and he is without question the No. 2 target in Cincinnati at this point in time. Owners can expect LaFell to have similar production, although it could improve a bit with all of the attention that the Steelers’ defense will be throwing at A.J. Green.

Eli Rogers, Wide Receiver, Pittsburgh Steelers

Just like Brandon LaFell, Eli Rogers is the No. 2 option for Ben Roethlisberger and showed off his full skill-set last week. Rogers caught six passes for 59 yards and a touchdown and it wouldn’t be shocking to see him put up the same or better production this week. Cincinnati’s game plan will revolve around stopping Antonio Brown, which could give Rogers a chance for some big plays.

Giovani Bernard, Running Back, Cincinnati Bengals

Last week was rough for Bengals’ backup running back Giovani Bernard. He racked up just 25 yards and no touchdowns on five carries and five yards on two receptions with no touchdowns. Despite the disappointing Week 1 numbers, Bernard is still a threat in the Cincinnati offense and could be used much more against a hard-nosed Steelers’ defense.
