The Houston Texans have made some solid strides in 2014, just a year after going 2-14 and “earning” the top pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. They don’t quite seem playoff bound just yet, but rookie head coach Bill O’Brien definitely has this team playing better football than it was only a year ago.
The journey ahead isn’t an easy one, but with running back Arian Foster shouldering the offensive load, the Texans can’t be written off. A cakewalk division outside of the Indianapolis Colts doesn’t hurt, either.
Up next for the Texans is a date with Tennessee this Sunday. The average price is just $74 with tickets beginning at only $9. This is the cheapest game remaining on the Texans schedule, either home or away.
If they can pull off the win, they’ll be in good position to get back in the postseason race. Let’s see just how Houston might do as we break down their November schedule, while analyzing the value of Texans tickets in those contests:

Week nine brings a home contest against the Eagles, which should test Houston’s inconsistent defense. At least rookie sensation Jadeveon Clowney is due back by then, which could give Houston’s defense a much-needed lift. J.J. Watt could surely use the help, and hopefully it will be enough to help keep the Texans in the game. If that happens, Arian Foster can pound the rock and try to control the pace.
Week 11 @ Cleveland Browns (11/16/14) | Average Ticket Price: $108.83 | Get-in Ticket Price: $28
Houston heads to the Dawg Pound to face the Browns after their bye week in a game they have a terrific chance of stealing. The Browns have actually been decent on the year, but these teams match up quite well. The duo of Watt and Clowney could give Brian Hoyer fits, while Arian Foster could dominate Cleveland’s shaky defense. Winning on the road is never easy, but the Texans should have a great shot.
This is similarly price to the Titans game with an average price just north of $100 and the cheapest tickets beginning at $28. Not only that, but there are good Cleveland hotel options from Hipmunk available for as low as $87.
Week 12 VS. Cincinnati Bengals (11/23/14) | Average Ticket Price: $179.04 | Get-in Ticket Price: $58
Texans tickets rise back up a bit in week 12, but fans can still get in for barely over $179 on average, giving them solid value. It’ll be even better value if Houston can execute their game plan and send Andy Dalton and company packing with a loss. That’s entirely possible, too, given Cincy’s up and down play on both sides of the ball this year.
Week 13 VS. Tennessee Titans (11/30/14) | Average Ticket Price: $176.50 | Get-in Ticket Price: $56
Houston gets their third home game of November in week 13, one in which could be the capper to a strong month. The Titans are a soft opponent either way you look at it, but with this one being at home the Texans have to be the heavy favorites. A healthy dose of Arian Foster should give Houston all the advantage they need in this one.
