The NFL can be a strange league at times, and today is one of those times.
Today, the Denver Broncos signed Peyton Manning, for my money the greatest quarterback in the history of the game, but that’s up for debate on a different day. Then, it became apparent that the Broncos would likely try to trade away Tim Tebow, even if that meant accepting a fourth, fifth, or even a sixth round pick for him. The message here is simple. The Broncos don’t want the distractions.
The backlash directed at John Elway was immediate. Here’s a few particularly fun ones, many of which are courtesy of Gerald Alexander’s re-tweets (@GAlexander21).
@johnelway u make me sick. tebow deserves a chance after what he did last year #boomanning

To say the least, the backlash from a particular group of Broncos fans is unbelievable.
