The Green Bay Packers are doing some ridiculous things offensively. They’re embarrassing opposing defenses so thoroughly I could pretty much dedicate this entire post to Aaron Rodgers and his aerial shenanigans most weeks.
We’ll get to the latest Packers lunacy in a second. First, a whole lot of running.
5: The amount of running backs who rushed for at least 150 yards in Week 11. Take that, passing league.
4: The amount of touchdowns scored by New England Patriots running back Jonas Gray. That number alone is great though not remarkable, as the list of running backs who have scored four rushing touchdowns or more in a game is lengthy. But consider this insanity: every other running back in the league combined for three rushing TDs in Week 11. What?
4: The amount of touchdowns scored by J.J. Watt this season, with his latest trick a reception for six points after lining up as a wide receiver near the goal line. He became the first defensive player since 1948 to score four touchdowns in a season.
219-85: The point difference during the Green Bay Packers’ five home games. It’s very much in favor of the home side, with the latest drubbing a 53-20 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.
101: The combined yardage for Packers cornerback Casey Hayward and linebacker Julius Peppers on their fumble and interception returns for touchdowns in that game.
10.5: Aaron Rodgers’ yards per pass attempt over his last three games. That includes his 341 yards on 36 attempts against the Eagles.
16: The years that have passed since the last time a rookie wide receiver logged three consecutive games with at least 100 receiving yards and a touchdown. Mike Evans took care of that streak with 209 yards on seven catches with two touchdowns as his Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the Washington Redskins. His total yardage over the past three weeks? 458.
29.9: Evans’ yards per reception in Week 11. He’s not fair.
