Deon Grant and the Giants attracted a lot of flak, and even a warning from the league office, for taking a dive to stop a drive by the Rams’ no-huddle offense. Frankly, the idea is time-worn, but the execution was terrible. It was the worst acting we’ve seen from an NFL player since Brian Bosworth in “Stone Cold.”

Critic’s Notebook: Few ad campaigns seemed to have longer legs or more star power than Miller Lite’s “Less Filling / Tastes Great” franchise, which ran in various forms for more than a decade. And it’s no wonder why, as fans of the smooth-tasting draught beer still can’t decide why people love it so much.
