NFL Week Nine Preview: Best Of The Rest – Tebow Wins

Tim_Tebow

DENVER BRONCOS (2-5) at OAKLAND RAIDERS (4-3)
Sunday, 4:05 P.M. ET, CBS, Direct TV (711), Sirius (Den 104, Oak 139)
Who Will Win –
If Denver and Oakland could swap quarterbacks, do ya think they would do it? Just asking. There is a fair chance the Raider will miss Jason Campbell.  Tim Tebow has 16 career touchdowns. Look it up if you don’t believe me. That’s why (and I can’t believe I am doing this) I am picking Denver.

MIAMI DOLPHINS (0-7) at KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (4-3)
Sunday, 1:00 P.M. ET, CBS, Direct TV (706), Sirius (Mia 94, KC 138)
Who Will Win –
Teams often have a letdown after a draining win like the Chiefs had over the Chargers. The Dolphins played the Giants tough. It’s as good a time as any to predict Miami’s first win.

CLEVELAND BROWNS (3-4) at HOUSTON TEXANS (5-3)
Sunday, 1:00 P.M. ET, CBS, Direct TV (705), Sirius (Cle 106, Hou 137)
Who Will Win –
Mike Holmgren is closer to making the Browns a winner than you might guess. He has blockers and tacklers in place. Now, he just needs offensive firepower. “Trap game” for the Texans, who remain the overwhelming favorite.

ATLANTA FALCONS (4-3) at INDIANAPOLIS COLTS (0-8)
Sunday, 1:00 P.M. ET, FOX, Direct TV (710) Sirius (Atl 91, Ind 113)
Who Will Win –
With each passing week, my regard for Payton Manning grows. I had no idea how truly bad the Colts were until No. 18 was out. As Beetlejuice said of The Exorcist, “It keeps getting funnier every time I watch.” Falcons.

SAN FRANCISCO (6-1) at WASHINGTON REDSKINS (3-4)
Sunday, 1:00 P.M. ET, FOX, Direct TV (709), Sirius (SF 193, Was 93)
Who Will Win –
The Redskins’ quarterback situation – see Beetlejuice comment above. 49ers and it won’t be pretty.

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (2-5) at DALLAS COWBOYS (3-4)
Sunday, 1:00 P.M. ET, FOX, Direct TV (707), Sirius (Sea 117, Dal 85)
Who Will Win –
If the choice is between Seattle’s Tarvaris Jackson/Charlie Whitehurst or Dallas’ Tony Romo, you go with Romo. Need we say more?

CINCINNATI BENGALS (5-2) at TENNESSEE TITANS (4-3)
Sunday, 4:05 P.M. ET, CBS, Direct TV (712), Sirius (Cin 93, Ten 134)
Who Will Win –
Does Matt Forte hold any resentment toward Chris Johnson whose performance since signing his new contract gives shivers to the Bears front office? Just asking. Bengals.

ST. LOUIS RAMS (0-7) at ARIZONA CARDINALS (1-6)
Sunday, 4:15 P.M. ET, Direct TV (713), Sirius (STL 138, AZ 91)
Who Will Win –
This game will only interest fans of the teams. Go with the Cardinals at home.

BYES: Panthers, Lions, Jaguars, Vikings
