Yesterday's finish between the Indianapolis Colts and the Detroit Lions was without a doubt the best moment of week 13 thus far. The Colts scored a go ahead touchdown as time expired to top Detroit by a score of 35-33.
Still, there is at least one Colts player that isn't happy with how the game unfolded.
With just under seven minutes to play, Don Carey intercepted an Andrew Luck pass. On the play, Ndamukong Suh pancaked Winston Justice, the Colts' right tackle. That's part of football, but Suh and his teammates didn't stop there. They reportedly stood over Justice, dancing and laughing at the injured player.
That didn't sit well with right guard Mike McGlynn, saying, via Bob Kravitz of the Indianapolis Star, "Totally ignorant on their part. Just childish stuff. We're all battling out there; I don't know if the hit was legal or not, but clearly he was hurt, and they're out there dancing and pointing at him and laughing. Just blatant disrespect. They're good players but there's no room for that. It's disgusting, really."
"If that had happened to one of their players, we'd never do something like that. But that's what makes this even sweeter. That's why they lose. I hope they never win another game."
This story line has been played out. We've all heard Suh described as being a dirty player, but this may be the first time that his actions didn't come in the heat of battle. this is an injured player that had sustained a concussion, and to think that any player would laugh at another player is just awful.
Still, the Colts pulled off a border-line miracle victory, and in doing so, Indianapolis left Detroit with the last laugh.
