Star Wars, NFL style!

Belichick_SithThis weekend nerds (including myself) around the world will be headed back to the theatre for Star Wars. Star Wars episode one is back in theatres this weekend but this time new and improved and in 3D. Although everyone and their weird friend who dresses up like Chewbacca considers the Phantom Menace a huge disappointment, there is no doubt the Star Wars movies are an experience like none other in history.

In celebration of George Lucas’s cult sensation we decided to do a little NFL version of Star Wars.

The Emperor (Dark Sith) – Bill Belichick

If only for appearance alone whenever you see BB on the sidelines in the famous hoody a snap shot of the emperor in his black robe has to come to mind.

Belichick the evil mastermind behind the New England dynasty has never had and issue running scores and doing whatever it takes to win. Belichick has never felt bad for opponents and is always willing to unleash his furry on other teams no matter how much New England is up.

Anakin Skywalker (Darth Vader) – Tom Brady

Once the pretty boy of the NFL, Tom Brady has gone from the feel good story of the NFL and ultimate underdog into the guy everyone hates to succeed. While Brady isn’t married to Nathalie Portman, Giselle certainly isn’t much too complain about.

Chewbacca – Jarred Allen

The loveable big man who when needed can unleash furry on Quarterbacks. Allen is one of the NFL’s best personalities, and loved by most despite his rough defensive exterior.

Obi-Wan Kenobi- Peyton Manning

Peyton Manning the wise Jedi on the field has always been fighting the good fight for the NFL. Now out of action due to injury let’s hope when he returns his faith is a little better then Obi- Wans.

Princess Leah – Rex Ryan

Sorry, I just found this too funny to resist.

Eli Manning – R2D2

Eli is very mechanical as a QB and like R2 usually stays out of the limelight not letting his   emotions ever get to him.

Chad Ochocino – C3PO

Originally everyone found 3PO entertaining but after awhile his antics get old, annoying     and dated but still everyone has a soft spot left for him because you have to love his         silliness.

Master Yoda – Vince Lombardi

May the force be with all of you!
