This was the week Aaron Rodgers supplied a lot of embarrassment. Actually, that’s true most weeks.
6: The touchdowns thrown by Rodgers during the first half of Chicago Bears thumping. Rodgers became only the second quarterback in league history to throw six TDs in the first half of a game.
4.5: The average amount of attempts Rodgers needed for each touchdown pass. Efficiency.
106: The amount of points allowed by the Bears over just their last two games. Jobs will be lost.
5: Ben Roethlisberger’s total passing yards in the first quarter during a loss to the New York Jets. He entered Week 10 with 862 passing yards over his previous two games, a pace of 107.8 per quarter. Roethlisberger turned that opening quarter into an anomaly and finished with 343 yards through the air during a near comeback. But still, weird.
2: The 49ers’ rushing touchdowns this week, both coming in the first half of a win over the New Orleans Saints. Over their first eight games the Niners had scored all of three rushing touchdowns, which is downright odd for a power running team.
3: Mark Ingram’s consecutive 100-plus yard rushing games, the first time that’s happened for the Saints since 2003.
35: The tackles (solo and assisted) for 49ers linebacker Chris Borland over just the past two games, 17 of which came in an overtime win over the Saints.
9: The amount of times Peyton Manning has thrown five or more touchdown passes in a game, with another one coming Sunday during a Raiders stomping. Manning has thrown at least three touchdown passes in a game seven times this season.
471-222: The difference in offense yards during the Broncos-Raiders snot rocking. Advantage Broncos, of course.
5: The amount of games in which the Carolina Panthers defense has given up at least 37 points. The latest debacle was also the worst, a 45-21 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Five games is half the Panthers’ schedule so far, which shows real dedication to being horrible.
