You’re about to notice a lot of Denver Broncos numbers that just aren’t fair. They still have a pretty petrifying offense, and stopping Demaryius Thomas might not happen ever again.
21.4: Demaryius Thomas’ average yards per reception during another week of catching everything, this time in a win over the San Francisco 49ers.
521: The total receiving yards for Thomas over his past three games, 171 of which came in Week 7.
12.2: Peyton Manning’s average yards per pass attempt during that game, his highest single-game average since 2009.
3: Von Miller’s consecutive games with two sacks, highlighted by owning 49ers left tackle Joe Staley.
7: Your now weekly update on the consecutive games DeMarco Murray has rushed for 100 yards or more, setting a new record with his 128 yards against the New York Giants. He still needs to average 132.4 rushing yards per game to break Eric Dickerson’s single-season rushing record. That shows how ridiculous Dickerson was in 1984.
7: The combined amount of incompletions thrown by Manning and Aaron Rodgers in Week 7. They’re both pretty good at football.
4: Rodgers’ consecutive games with three touchdown passes and zero interceptions, tying an NFL record set by Tom Brady in 2007.
6: Annnnd more Rodgers. He’s now gone six straight games without throwing an interception.
70: The length of Colt McCoy’s first regular-season pass for the Washington Redskins, a touchdown to Pierre Garcon. That’s longer than the longest pass by 17 teams this season. It was also his first pass attempt since 2011.
506-137: The offensive yardage slobber-knocking the Indianapolis Colts laid on the Cincinnati Bengals.
10: The amount of interceptions Blake Bortles has thrown over only 174 pass attempts, including three more Sunday in a game the Cleveland Browns somehow lost in a very Browns way. Overall Bortles has looked the part of a future franchise quarterback, but there’s a reason why the Jacksonville Jaguars wanted to ease him into the starting role. Their offensive line is a disaster, and he’s often having to rush throws. Not the ideal learning environment for a developing quarterback.
160: Denard Robinson’s career rushing yards prior to Week 7. In that win over Cleveland he went boom for 127 yards on the ground, averaging 5.8 per carry.
