Especially at this point in his career, Peyton Manning is the definition of a pocket quarterback. In fact, after rushing for an average of 42 yards per season during the first 14 years of his career, Manning has rushed for minus-49 yards in the three years since he joined the Denver Broncos.
Only two of his 18 “rushing attempts” (kneels excluded) from the last two years have gained yardage, the longest going for four yards. And he has gained 10 yards or more as a rusher just once in the last six years.
So for the hell of it, we combed through nearly 3,000 pictures of Manning as a Bronco in our Getty Images database in order to bring you every shot we could find of No. 18 truly running since joining the Broncos.
By the way, images of Manning running onto the field hardly count…
Nor do images of him running off of it…
Nor do images of him running without a freakin’ helmet on…
Or images that appear to be from pregame warmups…
It’s entirely possible he’s merely about to hand the ball off here, but we’ll give him the benefit of the doubt…
It does look as though he was running just prior to this…
Oh, jackpot!
Look at him go!
