This series will feature the top 10 players in each division regardless of team or position. This is measured by a combination of their current impact on the field, their potential in the future and their accomplishments in the past. And while I did not include two young interior offensive lineman for the Cowboys in Zack Martin and Travis Frederick, it’s worth noting that by this time next year they could easily feature as their careers are off to fantastic starts. A nod to Connor Barwin of the Eagles is necessary, as well, for his 14.5 sacks out of nowhere last season.

1. Dez Bryant, WR, Dallas Cowboys
The contract situation is a concern if it can’t be worked out because he’s a game changer. Make no mistake the Cowboys are not close to the same team without him.
2. Jason Peters, T, Philadelphia Eagles
He might be 33 but the 7 time Pro Bowler is coming off as solid of a season as ever.
3. Tony Romo, QB, Dallas Cowboys
He’s coming off the best year of his career at 35, but he still hasn’t been able to get it done in the playoffs and not having DeMarco Murray will really complicate things.
4. DeMarco Murray, RB, Philadelphia Eagles
It will be interesting to see how things change for him in the Eagles offense but Murray has a claim as the best back in football.
5. Tyron Smith, T, Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys believe they have the best tackle in all of football. They might be right.
6. Trent Williams, T, Washington Redskins
Like Smith, Williams is a young player that has lived up to his 1st round draft status and more in a very short period of time.
7. Odell Beckham Jr., WR, New York Giants
Based on his 12 game rookie season I’m already prepared to put him this high. He may be #1 on this list in 2016. Move over, Victor Cruz.
8. Alfred Morris, RB, Washington Redskins
Though last year was a bit of a down year, Morris is a workhorse that’s been to 2 Pro Bowls in 3 seasons and has rushed for over 1,000 yards in each.
9. Eli Manning, QB, New York Giants
Drafting Beckham may resurrect his career and the rest of the of the NFL should be on alert based on his past success in the Super Bowl.
10. Ryan Kerrigan, LB, Washington Redskins
His steady play and 38 sacks in 4 seasons have been very impressive and the one time Pro Bowler is coming off his best season as a pro with 13.5 sacks.
