This year on This weekend in NFL stupid, we’re focusing on one extremely stupid winner with an honorable mention or two on a weekly basis. To close out Week 8 of the 2015 regular season, we look back on a freak injury that can be pinned on careless stadium infrastructure.
The winner: St. Louis Rams
For whatever reason, the St. Louis Rams have a strip of exposed concrete only about 10 yards beyond the sidelines at Edward Jones Dome. Inexplicable, really, when you consider how dangerous concrete is to high-speed football players in spikes as well as the fact it would be a rather simple task to place a carpet or some padding over that area.
But no, the Rams have left the concrete exposed. And on the play above, it might have ended Reggie Bush’s career…
