Week 7 NFL game watchability rankings

Week 7 in the NFL is here, and you might be entering the weekend with your own preferences regarding which games to focus on, and which to place on the backburner.

Most of you have your favorites and fantasy players to track. But in case you’re completely neutral or need help breaking ties with regard to what to watch, we’ve ranked all 14 games from most appealing to least enticing.

1. Eagles at Panthers (Sunday night, NBC): Philly has battled back and that offense is still fun to watch, while Cam Newton is finally about to get national exposure as he continues to carry the unbeaten Panthers. This could be one of the best games you watch this year.

2. Jets at Patriots (Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, CBS): The Jets have been good, but now they have to prove they can beat a contender. If they put up a fight in Darrelle Revis’ return here, it’ll be worth locking onto this game.

3. Saints at Colts (Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, FOX): So much pressure on both teams, and an intriguing quarterback matchup.

4. Seahawks at 49ers (Thursday night, CBS/NFL Network): Two desperate teams. Can Seattle get back on track? Can the 49ers save their season with a huge home win against their dreaded rival? Worth tuning in for sure.

5. Cowboys at Giants (Sunday, 4 p.m. ET, FOX): Something interesting always happens in these NFC East matchups and at least we’ll get to see a new-look Cowboys team with Matt Cassel at quarterback. Dallas has little to lose right now, which makes this fun.

6. Vikings at Lions (Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, FOX): Watch for Detroit to put up a fight against a potential playoff team within its division, especially at home. Worth monitoring.

7. Steelers at Chiefs (Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, CBS): Pittsburgh’s been doing some good things sans Ben Roethlisberger, and the Chiefs are a disaster. Only worth checking this out if Kansas City has found a way to stick around in the second half.

8. Raiders at Chargers (Sunday, 4 p.m. ET, CBS): The loser enters panic mode in the AFC West, so this should be a solid, even matchup between two inconsistent yet talented teams.

9. Bills at Jaguars (Sunday, 9:30 a.m. ET, CBS/Yahoo!): The banged-up Bills are sort of a mess right now and the Jaguars were tricking us and are actually just as bad as usual. Worth waking up for? If you’re on the west coast, probably not…

10. Ravens at Cardinals (Monday night, ESPN): It’s pretty much over for Baltimore, and Arizona isn’t exactly a huge draw.

11. Falcons at Titans (Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, FOX): Blowout waiting to happen. The Titans have come back to earth.

12. Buccaneers at Redskins (Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, FOX): Neither team is going anywhere, but Jameis Winston scores points as a rookie attraction.

13. Browns at Rams (Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, CBS): St. Louis could be a playoff team, which makes this sort of interesting? But it could be one-sided and neither team is sexy.

14. Texans at Dolphins (Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, CBS): Cameron Wake and J.J. Watt. Anything else? Forget it…
