What should be expected from Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers in 2015?

The Green Bay Packers have opened up training camp, and are preparing for a season that many expect to be a very successful year. Aaron Rodgers has proven himself to be the best quarterback in the NFL, and is the reigning MVP award winner. Expectations are flying high in 2015 about Rodgers, and there is no question that he will come through with another monstrous year.

During the 2014 season with the Packers, Rodgers ended up throwing for 4,381 yards, 38 touchdowns and just three interceptions.

That being said, what can the Packers and their fans expect to see from Rodgers during the upcoming 2015 season?

Quite simply, Rodgers has become known as the best quarterback in the NFL due to the consistency that he has shown since taking over for Brett Favre. He has been a superstar each and every season, and will do so once again this year. Green Bay has put together a perfect offense to fit his skill-set, and they are going to be even better than they were last season.

Eddie Lacy is the type of compliment at the running back position that every single quarterback needs. He is more than capable of dominating opposing defenses, which makes them stay honest against the run. That takes pressure off of any quarterback, and helps receivers get open with less coverage as well.

Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb are two of the most consistent and best receivers in the entire NFL, and the Packers are also expecting second-year receiver Davante Adams to take a huge step forward as well.

Most analysts agree that the Packers are going to be one of the teams in the NFC Championship game. A good number of them also believe that Green Bay will end up winning Super Bowl 50. Those are high expectations, but the Packers have the advantage of having Rodgers on their side.

Predicting statistics for any player is never easy, but Rodgers’ consistency makes it much easier to predict.

It would be more than understandable for fans to expect around 4,500 yards, 40 touchdowns and five interceptions from Rodgers this season. As usual, the Packers are going to be relying mostly on their aerial attack with Lacy being used from time-to-time. Green Bay gave him even better weapons with the development of Adams and the selection of Stanford wide receiver Ty Montgomery.

Needless to say, the Packers are loading up on pieces around Rodgers that can help them make the extra play or two that they needed last year in order to beat the Seattle Seahawks and advance to the Super Bowl.

Expect to see Rodgers come through with similar numbers to the ones mentioned above, and to lead the Packers deep into the playoffs. There is nothing holding Green Bay back, and on paper they are without question one of the best teams in the NFL. Rodgers is in the prime of his career at 31 years old, and is looking to take home back-to-back MVP titles as well as win his second Super Bowl ring.
