NFL quarterback power rankings: Week 6 edition

Throughout the 2016 NFL regular season, we’re ranking the league’s top 10 quarterbacks. Here’s how we view things after Week 5…

1. Matt Ryan, Falcons: The league’s highest-rated passer has a yards-per-attempt average of 10.4, which is nearly two full yards higher than the next guy on the list (Philip Rivers, 8.5).

2. Sam Bradford, Vikings: As we said last week, the league’s second highest-rated passer has yet to turn over the ball for the perfect Vikings.

3. Ben Roethlisberger, Steelers: Big Ben already has an NFL-high 15 touchdowns to four interceptions, despite the fact he’s had a couple off games.

4. Derek Carr, Raiders: The third-year stud gets extra points for coming up big in clutch moments, but he’s already the league’s seventh highest-rated passer on his own.

5. Philip Rivers, Eagles: He’s not getting any attention because the Chargers are somehow 1-4, but Rivers has 11 touchdowns, three picks and a 108.4 passer rating.

6. Carson Wentz, Eagles: He’s finally thrown a pick, but it was on a quasi-Hail Mary. He’s looked like a Pro Bowl-caliber veteran, and he actually has the league’s highest Pro Football Focus accuracy percentage.

7. Russell Wilson, Seahawks: The hobbled young star has been ridiculously accurate and reliable for a strong team.

8. Brian Hoyer, Bears: In place of the injured Jay Cutler, the veteran journeyman leads the NFL with a completion percentage of 71.4 to go along with a six-to-zero touchdown-to-interception ratio.

9. Drew Brees, Saints: His team sucks, but Brees has 10 touchdowns to three picks despite that lack of support.

10. Dak Prescott, Cowboys: The rookie has now thrown 155 passes without tossing a single interception. He’s only this low because we’ve yet to see him make deep passes.
