Top 5 NFL players from week 11

This weekly segment will highlight the best performances of the week in the NFL. Every position and player is eligible, all it requires is a truly epic showing. It’s not always stat driven, or analytics grade driven, though those things help you get on this list.

1. Tom Brady, QB, New England Patriots

I know he missed the first four games of the season, but give this guy the MVP trophy already. We should just leave a permanent place for him on this list every week. This time he went 24 of 40 for 280 yards and 4 touchdowns (no interceptions) in a driving rain storm. Nothing can stop him.

2. Xavier Rhodes, CB, Minnesota Vikings

His write up on Pro Football Focus this week says it all. He completely shut down his side on 7 targets and returned a pick 100 yards for a touchdown. His teammate Danielle Hunter deserves honorable mention for having a monster game, too.

3. Rob Kelley, RB, Washington Redskins

24 carries for 137 yards and 3 touchdowns. He’s quickly become the lead back in D.C. and the Packers were completely incapable of doing anything to stop him.

4. Le’Veon Bell, RB, Pittsburgh Steelers

Led the league this week with 146 yards rushing on 28 carries, to go with 1 touchdown. What’s crazy about that stat line is his longest run was 12. So he never really padded his stats with long runs, it was just a workmanlike perpetual grind down of the Browns defense.

5. Kirk Cousins, QB, Washington Redskins

Along with his teammate Kelley, they took turns lighting up the porous Packers defense. He went 21 of 30 for 375 yards and 3 touchdowns.
