Week 13 NFL game watchability rankings

Week 13 is here, and you might be entering the weekend with your own preferences regarding which games to focus on, and which to place on the backburner.

Most of you have your favorites and fantasy players to track. But in case you’re completely neutral or need help breaking ties with regard to what to watch, we’ve ranked all 15 games from most appealing to least enticing.

Potentially epic

1. Lions at Saints (Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, FOX): There may be no offenses more exciting to watch right now than these. Drew Brees has been unbelievable for high-powered New Orleans and Matthew Stafford and the Lions keep winning thrillers. Expect fireworks here.

2. Cowboys at Vikings (Thursday night, NBC/NFL Network): The Dallas offense is a must-watch, especially on the road in prime time against a talented and desperate defensive team.

3. Giants at Steelers (Sunday, 4 p.m. ET, FOX): With New York rolling and Pittsburgh finally healthy and putting it together, this matchup between likely playoff teams should be your home base during the late-afternoon time slot.

4. Chiefs at Falcons (Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, CBS): This is just such a toss-up game. No chance it doesn’t go down to the wire. Two very talented teams fighting for playoff positioning in their respective conferences.

Good, not great

5. Buccaneers at Chargers (Sunday, 4 p.m. ET, CBS): Jameis Winston and the Bucs are looking like real playoff threats. On the road against an exciting San Diego team, this should be both explosive and close throughout.

6. Texans at Packers (Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, CBS): Plenty of desperation on both sides of the ball, and a great offense versus a superb defense. Fantastic game if it remains close.

7. Panthers at Seahawks (Sunday night, NBC): Nothing wrong with Cam Newton vs. Russell Wilson, even if neither has been himself of late. We’ll see if the high-powered yet broken Panthers can put up a fight on the road.

8. Dolphins at Ravens (Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, CBS): Not overly sexy, but there’s a solid chance the winner of this game ends up in the playoffs and an equally solid chance the loser does not. Should be close, too.

9. Bills at Raiders (Sunday, 4 p.m. ET, CBS): The Raiders are worth checking out against anybody right now, especially an exciting Buffalo team. If the Bills keep it close, tune in.

10. Redskins at Cardinals (Sunday, 4 p.m. ET, FOX): Washington is quite a fun team right now. Arizona? Not so much. But the Cards should make this an interesting game at home.

11. Rams at Patriots (Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, FOX): The blowout potential is a little too high, especially in New England. That said, the Rams are tough on defense, Jared Goff looked good in his second start and the Pats are banged up. So keep tabs.

Don’t bother

12. Eagles at Bengals (Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, FOX): One of those games that looked a hell of a lot better six weeks ago than it does now. Neither team is going anywhere this year.

13. Broncos at Jaguars (Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, CBS): Definitely one of those games only worth checking out if it’s close in the fourth quarter. And that’s not bloody likely.

14. Colts at Jets (Monday night, ESPN): Does anybody enjoy watching either of these teams?

15. 49ers at Bears (Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, FOX): Not unless you’re really concerned with the top of the 2017 draft.
