Week 17 NFL game watchability rankings

Week 17 is here, and you might be entering the weekend with your own preferences regarding which games to focus on, and which to place on the backburner.

Most of you have your favorites and fantasy players to track. But in case you’re completely neutral or need help breaking ties with regard to what to watch, we’ve ranked all 16 games from most appealing to least enticing.

Don’t miss

1. Packers at Lions (Sunday night, NBC): Obviously. However, this loses some luster if the Redskins fall to the Giants and both teams are going to make the playoffs anyway.

2. Chiefs at Chargers (Sunday, 4 p.m. ET, CBS): Kansas City will enter this game with a good shot at a first-round bye, and you know the Chargers will put up a fight in what might be the team’s last-ever game in San Diego.

3. Raiders at Broncos (Sunday, 4 p.m. ET, CBS): Without Derek Carr, the Raiders will make a lot of us sad. Still, this should be a close game and there’s a lot on the line for Oakland.

4. Patriots at Dolphins (Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, CBS): They both have something to play for, and Miami plays New England well at home, so this takes the early-game cake.

5. Giants at Redskins (Sunday, 4 p.m. ET, FOX): It’s a do-or-die game for the ‘Skins, but will the Giants actually put up a fight?

6. Saints at Falcons (Sunday, 4 p.m. ET, FOX): Atlanta can still move up or down in the NFC, but the blowout potential exists here.

7. Seahawks at 49ers (Sunday, 4 p.m. ET, FOX): Seattle can still move up or down in the NFC, but this will likely be a blowout.

Completely ignore

8. Panthers at Buccaneers (Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, FOX): At least Tampa Bay will technically be alive for the majority of this game.

9. Cowboys at Eagles (Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, FOX): Tune in only if Tony Romo gets a shot.

10. Ravens at Bengals (Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, CBS): This game looked so good on paper at the beginning of the year. Now, nobody cares. Although this is a chance to say goodbye to Steve Smith.

11. Texans at Titans (Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, CBS): Not without Marcus Mariota or anything on the line.

12. Browns at Steelers (Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, CBS): Even less on the line now that Cleveland has a win.

13. Bills at Jets (Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, CBS): This is just depressing.

14. Bears at Vikings (Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, FOX): So is this.

15. Jaguars at Colts (Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, CBS): And this.

16. Cardinals at Rams (Sunday, 4 p.m. ET, FOX): The only game with nothing on the line in the late batch. They’d be better off kicking off at 10 a.m. local time.
