The Dallas Cowboys are no longer the middle men in the NFL. After a huge win on the road over the Seahawks in Week 6, the ‘Boys finally appear completely legit and have to be considered strong contenders to take the NFC East crown. There’s still a lot of work to do, though, and their quest continues on in Week 7 with a big divisional clash with the New York Giants. The game is equally meaningful for the Giants, who stand at 3-3 and badly need a win to keep pace inside the division.
The magnitude of this NFC East battle has it coming at solid value, as the average price if Cowboys vs Giants tickets is $239.74 on the secondary market. That price is 9% below the season average for Dallas Cowboys tickets at AT&T Stadium. The get-in price for the game is $62. Of course, value will mean very little if Tony Romo and co. can’t keep their red hot pace going with a sixth straight win. To do so, the natural plan will be to ride stud running back DeMarco Murray, who has yet to finish with under 100 rushing yards in a game this year.Murray is the key cog in a suddenly balanced and efficient Dallas offense, and if he can keep the ball moving on the ground, Romo and the passing game will continue to face honest defenses. When that happens, Dallas tends to have the upper hand thanks to Romo’s precision and a plethora of weapons.
Of course, there’s the other side of the ball, too. Dallas has been a lot better defensively than many predicted, but they have still been shaky at times. They made Russell Wilson look average on his home field a week ago, but earlier in the year they got torched by something called Austin Davis. Needless to say, consistency has so far been an issue.
This week, the ‘Boys are tasked with stopping an Eli Manning-led offense that will be hard pressed to show a brutal Week 6 shutout loss was a fluke. Still, this one easily favors the rolling Cowboys at home and fans are likely to enjoy a big divisional win that only adds to their growing winning streak.
